What We Believe

About God

There is only one God; He exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  These three are co-equal and possess all of the attributes of God.  God is the Creator of all life and Sustainer of the universe.  He has an incredible love for us.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God.  He is our Savior; born of a virgin and living a sinless life, He died on a cross to be the perfect sacrifice for all sin.  He rose from the grave after three days, defeating sin and death.  He ascended into heaven to prepare a place for us and will come again to take us to be with Him.  His deepest desire is to restore the relationship between God and man, broken by sin.

about the holy spirit

The Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. He is the gift given to everyone who surrenders to Christ. He lives inside every Christian, to be their Helper, Comforter and Guide. He provides guidance in living, help in understanding the Bible and intercedes for the believer before God.

The Bible is our final authority in all matters relating to life and our beliefs. The Bible is divinely inspired by God – ‘God-breathed’ – and without error so that we may know what God’s will is for us. Think of it as God’s love letter to us.

All people are created in the image of God. God gave us free will to choose to live for Him but will not force us to live for Him. Disobedience to God’s will is sin and separates us from God.

ABOUT salvation

Sins can be forgiven and salvation is possible because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.  Salvation cannot be purchased or earned. It is a free gift from God, available to everyone who believes in Jesus and surrenders to Him as Lord. A believer will express his faith (Matthew 16:16), turn from his sin (Acts 3:19), be immersed into Christ for the forgiveness of sins and he will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16), promising to live faithfully for Jesus until his death (Revelation 2:10).

ABOUT eternity

Heaven and Hell are real places. People were created to live forever. Heaven was created for man. Hell was created for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). God has invited every man, woman, boy and girl to live with Him forever but He will not force you to obey Him. The choice of your eternal destiny is personal.
