Damon F. Reid is a very motivated church leader with a passionate commitment to the Word and to evangelism. He has the wide range of experience needed to grow a church and impact a community. In ministry with Bethany Church of Christ, his core values will be evident in:

  • Building people's enthusiasm for and faithfulness to the Word of God.
  • Enhancing effectiveness for reaching lost people for Jesus Christ.
  • Encouraging every Christian to be involved in ministry.

He is excited to come to Bethany because it gives him the "privilege to serve the church in communicating the Word of God, so that the Holy Spirit can effectively prepare the congregation to reach Kettering and Montgomery County for Jesus before He comes."

Damon says he sees God working in this congregation because, "The church family is sacrificially serving to reach people for Christ; teaching and doing their best to love people through various ministries, including Bible School, youth groups, the interaction and ministry with skateboarders, and various Bible studies. We will work to enhance these efforts so that many more people - our neighbors, family , friends, work associates, and individuals we have not even met yet - may come to know Jesus."

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary in 1977; a Master of Arts in Practical Ministries from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1989; and a Master of Ministry in Church Growth from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1990. Damon has extensive experience in both ministry and organizational development.
